Adzzzz
I have a merchant account with Centrix Processing, they have sent me a PHP client API script which they say will run on OSC without a problem. There does not seam to be a contribution for my processor nor can i understand how to install it myself. Centrix said they would install it for me but i would like to do it myself if possible. If anyone could give me some help on this it would be much appriciated. Thanks Adam

jasonabc
pick one similar and build it from there. This is not good advice. There is a lot of work to build an OSC payment module. There is far more to it than just submitting CC numbers to an external processing website. The database has to be updated, stock inventory has to be subtracted, orders need creating etc etc. The API module you have been given will almost certainly be useless. It sounds like it's for use on sites that follow the (lazy) Yahoo model of flat HTML pages that plug straight into an external shopping cart/payment processing website. The OSC PayPal module does this as well of course - but it has to return users to OSC so the database can be updated. It is tightly integrated into the core code and database. The module you need will have to do this as well - and it falls a long, long way short of this. Have i been wasting my time? Changing to another processor is not an option.
jasonabc
Centrix can almost certainly set you up with an online merchant account and Authorize.net account. Enable the A.net module in your store and you're all set. So i have to open an authorize.net account and sign up for a Payment Gateway Account? Can this be setup and intergrated without Centrix, or do they need to do it for me? jasonabc
Centrix should set up your online merchant account and A.net account for you. (you cannot have the latter until you have the former). You don't need Centrix of course - you can get an online account from lots of places and set yourself up with A.net if you wish. I have just sent an email to Centrix Processing and will see if this can be setup. I have had to go with Centrix as they offer an off-shore merchant account and the products i am selling are considered "High Risk" The setup fee for my centrix account is ?1050, does this sound to much for a "high risk account"? Thanks again for your help, i should be able to move forwards again now knowing the info you have provided. Thanks

I have no idea about set up fees for 'high-risk' accounts - but that does seem awfully high.....?
