Guest
OK Guys long story short and a hard lesson learned !!!! Our server blew up, and it really blew up, and the backup that appears to be good is on our old provider. Now its version 2.1 and here is what?s going on... When we ported over from the old host I just exported and imported the database, installed 2.1 on the new server and overwrote the files from my old backup. Everything went brilliant.. Now not so lucky.. I cant find 2.1 to download for a start ( all links gratefully received ) , and installing 2.2 and restoring data just fails with loads of errors.. Installing my files direct to the new server errors out as I?m sure my config file are wrong ( due to version 2.1 and 2.2 being different ) , however the strange thing is my admin area works itmugs.co.uk/admin ( links, images etc etc ) , but the main site itmugs.co.uk just seems to have no idea where the paths are , but I have corrected the config files .. Each link seems to now look like this : http://itmugs.co.ukdir_ws_catalogindex.php...37eda885ababe1a which just crashed as of course for 1 the domain is wrong and two the files just aren?t in that area... So 1) HELP 2) Can someone point me to 2.1 for download 3) any idea's what the issue is if I can avoid downloading 2.1 thanks all Lee :'(
♥FWR Media
and installing 2.2 and restoring data just fails with loads of errors.. What were the errors? I never used the versions prior to 2.2 but assume that you may have added mods, right? a) I would upload a fresh 2.2 (again) without the startup SQL (where it adds bogus products) b-) Examine my SQL dump from my live site to see if any tables where present that are absent in the fresh 2.2 database. c) Having, "hopefully" identified the missing tables I would delete them manually allowing me to reapply any mods. This would also apply to fields that were added via mods. ### THIS ONLY WORKS IF THE ERRORS WERE DUE TO MISSING TABLES/FIELDS (I'M JUST ASSUMING) ######## Ultimate SEO Urls 5 PRO - Multi Language Modern, Powerful SEO Urls KissMT Dynamic SEO Meta & Canonical Header Tags KissER Error Handling and Debugging KissIT Image Thumbnailer Security Pro - Querystring protection against hackers ( a KISS contribution ) If you found my post useful please click the "Like This" button to the right.
