Have you given them Products Model numbers?

Did you look at Configuration / Product Listing and/or rearrange the display order?

Remember, by clicking on the headers Model / Product Name / Price etc.. that people can arrange them in their own order of preference...

Thanks for the reply Digs.

I tried assigning model numbers to products in a particular category sequentially from 101 through 143. I then went to Admin -> Configuration -> Product Listing and made Model=1, Name=2, Price=3, and Buy Now=4.

When you browse to the product page, the listing is alphabetical by Product Name. Yes, the Model number is the first column and one can click on the model heading to resort it. But I want to do this by default so the customer will see the more expensive items at the top of the list.

One last note: I would rather not list model numbers if possible.

Digs, you also state to "rearrange the display order". I'm not quite sure what you meant by this. Is this another option in administration?

Thanks,

PJ

You'd need to remove that section from the display code

No, in your store if you click on "Product Name" it'll sort the items in ascending or descending order. Click on "Price" and you'll get the highest or lowest listed first.
