abra123cadabra
Well, maybe you didn't check properly. site:butik.dk => 1930 pages site:www.butik.dk => 1 page So obviously your pages are indexed without www. Check your .htaccess to have a permanent redirect from www to non-www. Anyway, your pages are indexed well. If they don't show up in search results, you should try adding Ultimate SEO URLs. abra The First Law of E-Commerce: If the user can't find the product, the user can't buy the product. Feedback and suggestions on my shop welcome. Note: My advice is based on my own experience or on something I read in these forums. No guarantee it'll work for you! Make sure that you always BACKUP the database and the files you are going to change so that you can rollback to a working version if things go wrong. abra123cadabra
I would say it is important. You want your pages show up at least on the first page of the search results. From what I've seen, pages rank higher, if they have the keywords in the domain name, in the title, in the url and of course in the page contents. I have Ultimate SEO URLs and a the title is modified to be the product name. In the description I put the product name in header tags and I mention the product name at least once in the description. That does the trick with almost all my products. But then again, I expect people to look for a specific item and not for a broad range like laser printers. abra The First Law of E-Commerce: If the user can't find the product, the user can't buy the product. Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} . RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^butik\.dk RewriteRule (.*) http://butik.dk/$1 [R=301, L] Thanks ?,???`???,?? abra123cadabra
This is what I got (I redirect from non-www to www): Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^yoursite.com [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.yoursite.com/$1 [L, R=301] To redirect www to non-www: Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} . RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^example\.com RewriteRule (.*) http://example.com/$1 [R=301, L] So yes, yours is correct. Just thought I'll put both redirects in, in case someone is searching for it. It only has to go into the root. abra The First Law of E-Commerce: If the user can't find the product, the user can't buy the product. Feedback and suggestions on my shop welcome. I'll be quiet now, yesterday I had about 790 pages indexed but only a few weeks ago there was nothing at all... abra The First Law of E-Commerce: If the user can't find the product, the user can't buy the product.
