After reviewing all posts, reviewing the oscommerce 2.2 Milestone 2 document and considering my issue. I realize the index.php page is not pointing to the stylesheet.css correctly so the formatting and pictures are not displayed.

 

However, the index.php and stylesheet.css are in the same directory - and no changes should be made to the href location. Regardless, I tried to change the href location to (../catalog ; http://localhost/catalog/ ; and a handful of others with no luck)

 

My setup is simple:

 

This is the default installation installed locally to an Ubuntu 6.06 server. I copied the catalog directory from /var/www/oscommerce to /var/www/catalog. Neither instance is cooperating. Both allow me adminstrative rights and I have opened up every file to chmod 777 (i know security, but once I get this corrected I will change them back accordingly.)

 

My intent is to learn the system before creating a storefront.
