I am new at building these sites and need some help with passwords. I have looked everywhere for my answer and can't fiqure it out.

 

How do you change your admin password to your site?

Hi,

 

I'm using a .htaccess and a .httpasswd file to changes password, but there are contibutions witch you can install and make the password changes from admin

Wow! This question is very often asked.

 

 

 

First, when you first upload OSC access to you admin area is not protected. It is very imporantant to protect this area and you need to either add an .htaccess file or use one of the other contributions to preform the task of protecting that area of your page. There is tons of information on this site and on the web about .htaccess files and how to create them. There are also several contributions in the contribution area that will provide password protection for your admin area.
