♥Vger Posted September 3, 2006 Share Posted September 3, 2006 To protect admin: 1. FTP to your site and rename the admin folder to something unique (not admin2 or newadmin). If a hacker can't find it then he can't hack it! 2. In admin/includes/configure.php change references to /admin/ to /newname/ 3. Go to your web hosting control panel and use their Password or Directory Protection feature to password protect the newly renamed admin panel.
