ComicWisdom
I have abolutely no problems changing the COLORS of my backgrounds, but when I try to use an Image in a background for one of the cells nothing happens. The background image for the cell is paperbeige.gif. The code I am using is...... <!-- end informationbox //--> </font></p> </td> <td align="center" valign="top" background="graphicstemplates/paperbeige.gif"> <p>This is the template index.php</p> <p> <!-- start Index content //--> This is a totally new installation.... And yes I did create a new directory sts/full/graphicstemplates I've searched all over for info on this topic but haven't been able to find anything that explains why this doesn't work if there is no problem changing the background color. Is this possible? Just between us, remember there are only 10 kinds of people in the world; those who understand binary and those who don't!! Remember, learning is a "do-it-yourself" experience; although, not necessarily a "do-it-BY-yourself" experience. The quickest way to learn is to forget to BACKUP! dalaij
I have the same problem and I simply cannot get it working with images. I want to have a background image for the whole site so I put it in the body tag as <body background="images/bgTest.gif"> as the image is in catalog/images. When this didn't work i tried to copy the .gif to the template directory and use something like <body background="includes/sts_templates/mytemplate/images/bgTest.gif"> but this did not work either. Then i tried to use the absolute URL path as <body background="http://myshop.com/catalog/images/bgTest.gif"> but this did not work Either. The funny, and in my view weird thing is that if I view the template alone it does work. I.e. if i go to http://myshop.com/catalog/includes/sts_tem...s_template.html i can see the imagefile in the background. Any idea as to how to get it working? would appreciate any help since this is really getting on my nerves ;) cheers! /a

I haven't done that in awhile so I can't tell you where but if you do a search you will find it. If it is a particular cell then it needs to be in a cell.
