Can you help me with "log in" changes?

I am new at this and have my store set up and am still fioguring things out but having fun with it so far.

 

I have looked and searched through out these forums but can not find what I am looking for. It could be because it is not here but it is likely because I have seen it but didn't understand it thus figured it was not what I needed.

 

Is there someone that can please point me in the right direction or to the right spot for the following:

 

When my customers register, the only information I would like them to give me is their name and email address.

Is there some way to change the existing to show this? I am sure it is something easy but with all the files and modules and codes etc I would likely miss something.

If someone would be so kind as to spell it out for a moron like me LOL I would appreciate it.

Never mind. I have figured this out sort of. I just removed the basic html code from the page. I just hope it didn't screw something else up along the way lol
