Product out of stock???

If I enter a quantity of product as "5" does that mean that once 5 are sold, it will immediately be listed as out of stock... or does it mean how many products come with one purchase?

When you add a product in your admin the quantity of how many you have is set there.

 

In your admin configuration if you set the reorder level at quantity of 5 then when you have 5 of that product left it will mark that item out of stock. You can change the out of stock markings of *** with which ever you would like to put.

 

Note: If you do not want customers to go threw checkout with out of stock items set allow checkout to false.
