joemurray
I can add products but can't find out how to delete them? I've read through the documentation and my admin page looks nothing like the one in the docs. When looking through the products on the admin side there is no option that I can find anywhere to delete products, only categories. When I click on the product all I get is a preview option. Can anyone help?
jpweber
Highlight the particular category your product is in by clicking it once. Once it's highlighted, click it again to display the products within that category. Then you will see the list of products in that category. Highlight the particular product you're interested in deleting by clicking it once. Once it's highlighted, there will be 4 button options: edit, delete, move, copy to. It sounds like you're just highlighted the category and not clicking it AGAIN to display the products inside the category, so you're never really getting to the products. Keep trying; it's all in your ADMIN tool .... you're on the right track, just click the category again, and then highlight the product. joemurray
I'm looking at it right now. I have the product selected. The only options I see are to make it active or inactive. If I click on the blue arrow on the far right then it takes me to a preview of the product.

I mean, are you going to http://www.yourwebsite.com/catalog/admin, or http://www.yourwebsite.com/admin, or whatever, and logging into your ADMIN tool? Then clicking Catalog? Then clicking and highlighting the category? Then clicking the cateogory again to get the subcategory or a list of products within that category? knifeman
I see you have a button called 'add master product'. This is not a stock os button. Maybe your contribution wiped out the regular buttons that should be to the right of what you pasted. Tim
jpweber
Based on yoru screenshot, I am quite sure you added Master Products 3, or some version of Master Products, and erred in your installation on the admin side. Go back and check your installation of this contribution on the admin side, specifically. I'm sure you had to manually edit files -- or you should have had to. Follow the readme instructions more precisely. Save your files and reupload them to the server, and you'll get your delete buttons, etc. back, but it's gotta be in the admin side of your Master Products contribution installation. jpweber
Here's the thread support for Master Products -- http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=67284 ... I would reinstall your admin side of your contribution first, and if you're still getting errors, check in the aforementioned URL for similar issues.
