I have a problem where the basic images are not working. i mean like the english logo for languages, add to cart picture etc.

Where is this defined? could it be in the configure file? (I have transferred domains) I think its just not picking up the images folder for some reason.

If you changed domains then it is probably the "hard coded" images that are not working.

Supply a link to your site pls.

Image links are not your only problem as your SEO urls are broken, I can't access categories.

Re: language images

The path on your site of the language image icon.gif (modified to mysite.com) is ..

http://mysite.com/includes/languages/english/images/icon.gif

Basically that image is not in your /includes/languages/english/images/ folder

Equally ..

The path on your site of the language image login.gif (modified to mysite.com) is ..

http://mysite.com/includes/languages/english/images/buttons/login.jpg

That image is not in your /includes/languages/english/images/buttons/ folder

I think reuploading all the files from your old location may be in order.

Well I could be entirely wrong but is mod_rewrite enabled where you are hosted. The URLs are certainly not being written correctly.

Mod_rewrite enabled? where would i find that out.

By the way the admin folder isn't passworded, maybe you could check that out and see if you can find any errors.

The images problem:

Well its strange because the images were in /images/ but in a subfolder called buttons

When i try and call them like: mysite.com/includes/languages/english/images/Customer_Service.gif

or mysite.com/includes/languages/english/images/buttons/Customer_Service.gif

i get a 500 internal error. Any ideas what the CMOD for that folder should be, or is it a .htaccess stopping it?

P.s. how funny we both edited our last posts. i saw yours lol cheers for your help mate.

####

Got to admin/tools and select server_info

Under apache where it says "Loaded Modules" look for mod_rewrite

Highly insecure!!!

Firstly change the name of the admin folder, then, if you have cPanel password protect the directory

(you'll have to adjust configure.php accordingly)

Well try 777 and if the problem goes away start lowering the permission
