Hi

Our store is based on a template, although we have modified it quite a bit.

What its lacking is -

A review system - to be after the item listing (Ideally we would like an appoval system in place for reviews)

A related products (random products in same catergory) box at the end of each item listing

Is the review system built in to this template and do I just need to 'turn it on' or do I need a contrib?

Do I also need a contrib for the related prodcuts feature I want?

Soembody must know the answer

Reviews are built into OSC and there is a review approval contribution and I have seen a couple of related product contributions, Optional Related Products 1.0 and Family Products-MS2

Hope this helps a little

Im asked to -

'Load the sql file into your database.'

What does that mean and how do I do it? Sorry for my ignorance.

You need to log into your ISP control panel, access Php admin and then use import. Browse the sql file on your PC and the run it from the php admin. That should update your table.

I don't bother doing backups. I love the thrill of screwing it all up!

Only one more thing here and that is to Besure to Backup Your Database along with your site before making changes.
