tim_ver
I wanted to know if anyone knows how to do this below or if the know of a mod/mods that will do this? I have a website selling clothes and all are in different sizes (8,10,12,etc). I have a drop down for the user to select the size but I wanted to know how to have it setup where I can have quantities for each size? So if someone buys a size 8 it takes away one from size 8. How it is now I have qty for the product but know way of tracking quantities by sizes of the items. So if someone buys a size 8 and 14 it just takes away 2 from the total and when I am out of stock on say size 8 but have 14 it will show I have all sizes in. :( Arghhhh Anyone have an idea? Thanks

Thanks Try this http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,3302 I had been looking for the same thing, and I just found this one tonight. Not exactly what I was after as I have multiple attributes per item, however sounds like it will work for you
jasonabc
That contribution is actually pretty poor - it works on a basic level but doesn't do any stock checks if the user changes the quantity in the cart. The "fix" posted for this is extremely buggy. Use this instead - it's a far bigger install but is the one and only way to track stock of multiple attributes of products like size, color, weight etc. http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,888 Jason My Contributions: Paypal Payflow PRO | Rollover Category Images | Authorize.net Invoice Number Fix
tim_ver
Thanks Jasonabc. Do you use this mod? Which is better version 1 or version 2? Thanks
jasonabc
Yes I have used QTPro many times. The one you want is v4.25 from ATeschner. tim_ver
Also do you have a link to this on a working site? Thanks
jasonabc
QT Pro is more for use on the backend - not the store front pages. It's a tool to help the owner track stock effectively. jasonabc
Dude - how many times do you want me to answer the same question? Yes it is worth using - as I said 4 posts ago. If you want to know more about it then download it and read the (very comprehensive) user manual.
