back buttons and the checkout process

Hey there,

 

Maybe I'm a moron. In the checkout_confirmation page if you click edit you're taken back to whatever page you chose to edit. By default if you continue from the page you're editing, you start the checkout process again from that point. So editing the shipping address takes you back to the shipping page and you start the process again from that point.

 

How can I modify it so that if you're editing the shipping address or billing address, etc. coming from the confirmation page, you'll automatically be returned to the confirmation page instead of repeating the process?
