JimCougar Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 I have an Ebay store and now want to open a website store and move a huge portion of my listings over into it. The problem that I am faced with on every shopping cart that I have researched is that all of them offer across the entire store, either shipping costs for COST OF ITEM, WEIGHT OF ITEM or for MULTIPLE ITEMS. I need options for WEIGHT, COST and MULTIPLE ITEMS all within the store and not either/or. Some companies that I sell for use COST OF ITEM as their shipping scale differently than other companies of mine that use COST OF ITEM as well. I need to incorporate all of these different shopping options into one shopping cart. Oh and that does not take in consideration the different costs options that I need for international customers such as Canada, UK and Australia, some of my biggest areas for sales outside of the US. I was told in Ebay's Powerseller forum that osCommerce might have these shipping options and if not someone might be able to program them into it. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

I suggest you go for individual shipping cost contrib where by you need to state shipping cost for each product. if any other formula paste so a solution can be thougt of. You can do that? Setting the shipping cost per each item is the way that I was used to doing it on Ebay. That is EXACTLY what I was hoping for!

It is not that I don't believe what I was just told. Its just that I wasted an entire week working with Webstore, then another week researching other shopping carts. I really need to get this website store up and running soon and shudder at the thought of spending even more time on a shopping cart that will not suit my needs. Thank you in advance.
satish Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 Its a simple contrib do a fresh osc install and add that contrib and check. it should not take mor then 2 hrs to make these and will give you a good idea.
