Rugman
Hi, I'm new to this kind of stuff so am struggling a bit. A few questions if I may: 1. Upload all files My url is .....rugs.co.uk with /web as the default directory where the index.htm (home) file would go. Do I upload the catalog folder into the web folder or the root folder above? 2. Do I just upload the catalog folder or any others, i.e. extra, changelog etc? 3. I have uploaded just the catalog folder for now into the web folder but am getting: Server Requirement Error: register_globals is disabled in your PHP configuration. This can be enabled in your php.ini configuration file or in the .htaccess file in your catalog directory. Help :)
Guest
regarding the error, if you can ask your server people to enable register globals then good. If not, there is a contribution which allows you to run oscommerce, http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...egister+globals install the catalog into the web folder, so that visitors would go to rugs.co.uk/catalog/index.php to get to your shop upload just the catalog folder, none of the other stuff Luke

Rugman
ask your server people to enable register globals Wow, no chance. You would think I had asked them to install a virus on thier servers by their response. Guess I will have to use Richard's patch instead
