Authorize.net: authorize card but not charge

Hi,

 

I have a question. I take preorders for items but I cannot charge a card until the item has come into stock. Is there a way for me to authorize a card through authorize.net but not actually charge the card?

I would think your best option would be to contact authorise.net and see if they offer that ability. If they do, check and see if any payment contributions have that included.
