I can't get the STS enable, i have even intalled a fresh OSC, but in the configuration of the STS, at the first point installing the default, all that I get is "Use templates?" - false, after I press the update button

Try downloading and installing it again. You current download may have been corrupted.

ok, I will reexplain all the instalation steps that I have followed (for the clean instalation):

 

1. I have downloaded the tar archive and I have uncompress it in html folder (before I have downloaded the zip version and I have uploaded it with winscp)

2. I have downloaded and I have uploaded on the server the STS 4.2 (zip version), before (on the other instalation) I have tried with STAS 4.2 with head ...

3. Configuring the modules: STS, default.

-> here is the problem, I can't set enable (true) to use sts, after I press update button, I still have false in using STS in either instalation.

 

I hope I was exactly enough.

 

PS: I wil download OSC and STS again, and repeat all the steps tonight.

I am wainting for some advice

Some have had issues with Gzip. Turn it off and see if everything is ok. GZip is in the admin/configuration section of your osCommerce store.

Gzip was turned off from the beginning.

I saw that I can mannually change the value from "false" to "true" in php file and in this way is working, but . . . ..

Ekimino, what problems are you having? I couldn't really understand from your post.

 

****Attention***

 

Those who have recently upgraded their osC shop to 060817, then you will have problems with all of the modules in the admin, including the STS modules such as Default, Index and Product_info.

 

 

 

It appears this is a general problem with the compatibility.php file in the 060817 update.

Here is a work around: Add the following code

reset($ar);

at the end of the do_magic_quotes_gpc routine.

 

It will end up looking like this:

function do_magic_quotes_gpc(&$ar) {
if (!is_array($ar)) return false;
while (list($key, $value) = each($ar)) {
if (is_array($ar[$key])) {
do_magic_quotes_gpc($ar[$key]);
} else {
$ar[$key] = addslashes($value);
}
}
reset($ar);
}

 

This is not an STS issue, but rather a bug in the latest osc update.

"Use Templates" I set it as "True", update it, but it just wont change.

My last question was to georand99, he said he activated STS manually, i was just wondering what file he edited.

As I remember I have manually changed the value from FALSE to TRUE in the database.

 

Lately I am trying to make loginbox best working. . . :D
