BEvans Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 I'm totally a noob at this stuff. Even asking for help in a forum, never used one b4. This is the spot I'm in: I installed oscommerce, and clicked on the link that took me to a startpage(i guess). at the top of the page i get a pepto-bismol looking error(pasted below). Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/******/public_html/osc/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. Since I have nil experience with .php files, what do i do. I did try to change permissions but it keeps reverting back to what it was before. And can anyone point me in the direction for a tutorial, like OSCommerce for DumbNoobs? LOL :'(

I use my FTP to CHMOD and sometimes I get that problem where it will not change. Just close your FTP and restart it.
