Hi guys,

I hope you will help me with some good idea, how to upload file with 9500 products... and their pics too. ;)

Is it possible to upload from txt file directly to catalogue. I'm not very experienced in this...

Thanks for your help

p.s. I have also question about header gif on the website. Do you know any web site where you can find free header gif files? I would like to have a big gif 30 cm x 3 cm in one color and my logo on the left side?

:blush:

Hi, I've done this with 2000 and it didn't take long, less then a day for me and that included take the images. But my items are small so it wasn't a problem. Here's some ideas;

1. Enter all the catogories and sub catorgories into the database

2. Enter one test product in your database for each one of the above, easy way enter one and then copy that to the others.

3. Export the products database with easyupdate.

4. Open that in excel and have a good look, try and understand how it is set up.

The rest depends on where you are with your images, feel free to PM at this point and I'll tell your some short cuts for making the above file into your complete solution.

I'll second the EZ Populate idea. Our store has over 15,000 products that we entered with EZP. You'll have to upload the images seperately, but you can include the links with EZP. You should be able to do 9500 products in a day pretty easy. When we did out upload, I changed the timeout and broke up the files in to 2000 products at a time.
