Guest
A real easy way to change file permissions on a remote server would be to use a program such as CuteFTP. After logging onto your server you can easily right-click the file and select the CHMOD command. Changing permissions this way is very simple especially for users not very familiar with file properties on a remote server.
my scrap shop G
just keep reading through the forums, I know your brain is probably already full ! :) but you will make it through. I think you'll get more help if you research your problem first, rather than ask "how do I change the welcome text" etc - there are plenty of posts answering these questions! I know the search function on these boards is not so great, try using google ("search this site"). You can change your permissions using cpanel (usually located at yourdomain.com/cpanel) is that right? lol that's where mine is! you should have a password provided by your server people.
