tkeats
This is something thats been posted about ad nauseum. For the most part, search the forums for more on this. If paypal supports items in the cart the module must support it. Check the contribs section. If a payment, or a purchase is not showing in your admin section, then the customer has not clicked the 'return to complete' link on paypal's payment completion page. This allows oscommerce to tell you a successful order's been placed. You can either browse the database and figure out what they bought, log in as them and complete the order as a cheque, or search the contributions for information about "cart recovery". The complete invoice in oscommerce will have the complete purchase order. *sighs* Thomas A signature is something that reflects its user. - The dictionary The question is not, 'to code, or not to code' the question is, 'if we do not code, are we really alive?' -- anonymous

[email protected]
I was just about to ask the same question. If this is a common problem, where is the answer? The PayPal order email does not show the item ordered, and no record of the item ordered is in the admin for the store. So when someone orders through PayPal, we get the email that says the payment was processed, but no indication of the item that was purchased. Is there a solution for this? tkeats
Either I am not understanding the problem or... It seems to me the problem being mentioned is that after an order is paid for at paypal, the order is not showing up in the sales report. Also it seems to me that the other problem is that there is no itemized cart on the paypal payment page. The first is a common problem, and is a result of the purchaser (customer) not clicking the button 'return to complete your order' at the end of the paypal process. The second is not so much a problem, but a limitation of the STANDARD paypal module. Look for Paypal Pro (I have never used it but have seen it refered to in what is being spoken about here) in the contrib section. Search the forum for 'cart recovery' and 'paypal pro'. If these are not the issues being asked about, then I would suggest a clearer description would be best attempted Thomas A signature is something that reflects its user. - The dictionary The question is not, 'to code, or not to code' the question is, 'if we do not code, are we really alive?' -- anonymous

madcrazygirl
This is a well documented problem with paypal and if you search the forums you will find lots of threads...... Basically you will probably need to install the paypal ipn contribution to solve or install master password contribution so you can go into the customers account and checkout the contents of their basket which should still be there best wishes
