Ive got all the images and php files ready although i thought there would be an easy 'install theme here' part in the admin section although it doesnt seem to be that simple. Could someone please show me how to add a new theme/skin to OsCommerce.

Are you using the stack OSC version? If you are, you cannot setup the theme from the admin section, you have to install it manually. I'm sure the theme you have has an installation instruction.

You might want to use a template system so next time you can easily install a new template.

Hope this helps :)

well they are some instructions although they are pretty poor, it seems to hint at reinstalling OSC but using the .php files and pics in the template folder rather than the standard OSC ones although it doesnt really show you how to do this.

Could you tell me how to install a template manually?

Be aware that most 'templates' you buy are still using the files from the old and outdated version of osCommerce - so you'll need to upgrade the affected files all over again.

He's right and to my experience it is always better to use the stock oscommerce and just tweak it yourself., That way you will be more familiar with the code and everything. :)
