mobster
Ok, I'm sure this has been posted before. As a matter of fact I read one. Let me say that this is an incredible program. Hats off to all of the people behind the scenes that spent the thousands of hours required to program this software. Absolutely incredible! I have installed many varieties of database driven software. So at least I'm not a total newbie to the mysql world. But, after my installation, I have the errors at the top noting I must unistall the install file and change the permissions for files /catalog/admin/includes/configure.php and /catalog/includes/configure.php. I use Cute FTP and usually cute will change the permissions as long as the server allows it. My server does ,and I'm still getting the error message at the top. What am I missing? mobster
I don't understand, This is a simple problem I'm sure. I have tried two different ftp programs including my cpanel and all say the permissions are set as according to the documentation yet I still have the error: Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /xxxx/xxx/xxxx/xxx/xxx/public/catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. Thanks for any help.
