SSL secure

I am needing help making my store SSL secure. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO.

Hi, that is easy. First you have to check if your hosting company will let you get/buy and install your own SSL because some shared hosting companies won't let you install SSL unless they get them for you. Like for example for StartLogic and iPowerWeb. If you host your site to them, you cannot get third party SSL service on your own, you have to contact them and they will get it in your behalf. Whereas some hosting company will let you install your own SSL and it doesn't matter where you get them and they will even help you install it.

Now if you install your own SSL you have a lot of option where to get it, you can get it from Verisign, Thawte, Comodo and so on, but they are expensive, probably run from $100.00 or more for one year. But there are others that are a way cheapper compare to the big players. Like for example Positive SSL from Comodo, you just have to look it up in Google, Try Positive SSL from Comodo as your keyword, not sure if I can include a URL here. Anyway, Positive SSL will only cost you $19.00 for one whole year. But if you want a free SSL, try to check if your hosting offers shared SSL Services, if your hosting offers shared ssl, all you have to do is turn it on from your control panel and your site will be SSL Secured. Shared SSL will not have the usual format like https://www.yourdomain.com, instead it will have something like https://yourdomain.yourhostingcompany.com or https://www.yourhostingcompany.com/yourdomain or sometimes https://www.yourhostingcompany.com/~yourloginname . It works great. That is what i use on my site. If you want you can take a look at my site Search for Snoflagytes on google and Yahoo .

I hope I was able to help you. :)
