worldheadja Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 I finally competed my site an submitted it to search engines. my problem is when it come up in a search engine in the description shows some of the text that is on my site. i figure this is because of the info that is encoded on the index page which is.. <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=<?php echo CHARSET; ?>"> I have the new meta tag with the keywords but i wasn't sure if i should make changes/delete the above codes or should i juss add the new meta tags with the keywords. Can someone assist me and am i only to add this meta tags to my index.php file?

That is normal search engines will still get information from your site to there database Wade Morris Amarillo, Texas Before you do any changes on your site you need to do BACKUP! BACKUP!

You need to install a contribution like Header Tags. But, ignorning that for the moment, what search engine are youreferring to? If it is google, then you are seeing the correct results since they very seldom use the information in the meta tags.
