categories in admin panel shows blank.

my catalog works just fine on from the customers eyes.

but when I go into the control panel and view categories.php I see nothing in the body

also when I click any other option in the catalog box it opens the previous box on the left but the middle opens the correct "window" :blink:

I currently am running MVS, WPP, PWA, and EP

the front end works fine but the backend has issues.

It looks to me like some of the code has been changed somewhere. I would think that the problem lies with the catalog sidebox menu code. You could try installing this file again and seeing if it fixes the problem..

admin/includes/boxes/catalog.php

You will need to readd the easy populate code for this file (also, was it after installing this mod that these errors occurred, or what was the last thing you did before getting this problem?)

Tried it just now, didn't fix it.

I did a file comparison and only came up with one different line.

that is the line where easypop is linked

Do all the other menu's function correctly. Is it only the catalog menu that is not working as it should.

and if no, can you link the categories.php file from your admin root.

I have installed your catalog.php on a default install and its working okay. No problems at all with that file.

I cannot install the categories.php as only half the file is included, but the half that I have got is a stock install version of categories.php (checked with winmerge).

Which contributions have you added apart from easy populate? What was the last thing you did prior to the category page no longer appearing?

you're right it cut off part of the file.

my categories.php is stock, I even uploaded a stock version just to make sure it wasn't the problem.

I have MVS, EP, PWA, and WPP all installed.

PWA was the last thing I installed.

is there any chance that I screwed up something in the database itself?

I was tinkering in phpmyadmin to change the category length (I need longer lengths) and I think that was the last thing before allthis happened :bawling:

Do you have a database backup. Wouldn't hurt to reinstall it to before the change (backing up again also to be sure you can roll back to how you are currently if things get worse).

I am not sure how the database could be effecting the admin menu's, but stranger things have happened.

I just checked the PWA code (I have not installed this one myself). It only seems to effect order.php in the admin, which I think only effects the customers menu. I doubt PWA broke the menus.

Try reinstalling the database from a prior backup and see if it fixes it (even if its an old old backup, will do for testing because you can roll back to the current one). Just see if you have a database backup that fixes the menu and then at least we know where the problem lies.

Sorry I took a while to reply, was rewriting the code on the Star Products feature so that it used .css and tables in the main structure.
