expand Store Address and Phone field

Hello,

 

I would like to expand the Store Address and Phone field under admin -> My store.

So that I can put more information into the Store Address and Phone field.

 

Can somebody support me with that?

not sure I understand? you could copy half a book in that field ;-) well not really, you are limited to 255 characters, but that should be enough for a few lines of address ... you can add new lines obviously in that field (I think I have like 5 or even 6 lines in some)

 

If I misunderstood you, please clarify, best is always a typed example or screenshot.

If you are on about separating them, look at the original OSC .sql file and create a new Insert INTO configurations value command.

I need more lines then 5 or 6...because this this information is also send in a email to the customer when the buy things.

 

I need morespace for information as:

Banknumbers, storename, address, IBAN, BIC numbers and other information that we need or the customer.

yeah in such a case I normally just create a second key (I called mine bank details) and contenate the two when they should be both displayed. Setting the column property to text (the only other possibility) is not recommended for performance.

Can you help me a little bit more with the last lines?

I check if I understand you correct....do I need to change the files that has this STORE_NAME_ADDRESS code into STORE_BANK_DATA ?

 

That are 5 or 6 files in oscommerce...

 

Or is it also possible to add this new code to the 5 or 6 files?

Okay after the database import I can see the Store Bank Data line with box...

Know I have to modify the file /admin/invoice.php I think so that it does a query to the new database record and add this information to the invoice?

like I said, going through each spot is a bit too tedious for a forum topic ... that's more like a contribution ;-)

 

jus add it everywhere you need it, using the syntax that is used there for the other elements (for email you need a different syntax)
