warleb
I have looked at other posts and tried what was suggested. It just goes wrong. Can anyone spot any simple errors here? <?php /* osCommerce, Open Source E-Commerce Solutions http://www.oscommerce.com Copyright © 2003 osCommerce Released under the GNU General Public License */ // Define the webserver and path parameters // * DIR_FS_* = Filesystem directories (local/physical) // * DIR_WS_* = Webserver directories (virtual/URL) define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.fyhl.co.uk'); // eg, http://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', 'http://www.fyhl.co.uk'); define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', 'https://www.fyhl.co.uk'); define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'true'); // secure webserver for catalog module define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', '/data01/fyhlfyhl/public_html/store/'); // where the pages are located on the server define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/store/admin/'); // absolute path required define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', '/data01/fyhlfyhl/public_html/store/admin'); // absolute pate required define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/store/'); // absolute path required define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/data01/fyhlfyhl/public_html/store/'); // absolute path required define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', 'images/'); define('DIR_WS_ICONS', DIR_WS_IMAGES . jpweber
SSL in admin doesn't work? Then you need to go to your catalog/admin/includes/configure.php file and alter that. Around line 13, it should look something like: // define our webserver variables // FS = Filesystem (physical) // WS = Webserver (virtual) define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.yoursite.com'); define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', 'http://www.yoursite.com'); define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', 'https://www.yoursite.com'); define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'true'); // secure webserver for catalog module define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', $DOCUMENT_ROOT); // where your pages are located on the server. if $DOCUMENT_ROOT doesnt suit you, replace with your local path. (eg, /usr/local/apache/htdocs) And that's assuming that you have your SSL set to http://www.yoursite.com, not http://yoursite.com (without the www). The main thing is to set the SSL to "true" in your catalog/admin/includes/configure.php file. Guest
Are you sure your SSL was boughten and installed correctly onto your server? Are you sure it was for http://www.yourdomain.com and not http://yourdomain.com? Yes and Yes. When I purchased the certificate it was purchased for https://www.mywebsite.com This certificate has been installed and running for over 2 years now. I'm just switching to the osCommerce shopping cart from the one I originally wrote myself for the website.

Guest
My certificate is by GeoTrust. I've sent you a link to my site through a PM so you can see that it works fine. It should be noted that this problem is specific to the admin area only. The SSL certificate works fine on the customer end.
jpweber
THIS WILL WORK. Trust me. Okay, look. It's EASY. Follow these steps. On catalog/admin/includes/configure.php, make it like this: // define our webserver variables // FS = Filesystem (physical) // WS = Webserver (virtual) define('HTTP_SERVER', 'https://www.yoursite.com/'); define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', 'https://www.yoursite.com/'); define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', 'https://www.yoursite.com/'); define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'true'); // secure webserver for catalog module Yes, add the "S" in there for each one. Now when you initially log onto your admin, it will not look secure with the http://, but click on ANY link in your admin, and you'll see it will prompt you to type in your login and password again, and then the https:// will show up. Let me know if it works (it will), Jason Simple 1-2-3 Intructions on how to get, install and configure SSL The Google Sandbox explained Simple to follow instructions on how to change the look of your OSC How To Make A Horrible OSC Website my toolbox: All things WordPress-related - All things Adobe-related - PHP Designer 2007 - Codecanyon Junkie - Crimson Editor - Winmerge - phpMyAdmin - WS_FTP my installed contributions: Category Banners, File Upload feature-.77, Header Tags, Sort_Product_Attributes_1, XSellv2.3, Price Break 1.11.2, wishlist 3.5, rollover_category_images_v1.2, Short_Description_v2.1, UPSXML_v1_2_3, quickbooks qbi_v2_10, allprods v4.4, Mouseover-effect for image-buttons 1.0, Ultimate_SEO, AAP 1.41, Auto Select State Value, Fast Easy Checkout, Dynamic SiteMap v2.0, Image Magic, Links Manager 1.14, Featured Products, Customer Testimonials, Article Manager, FAQ System, and I'm sure more ...
