Installation not working properly

Ok there are a few things going on here. I emailed the support list but still have not heard anything yet.

During the installation of oscommerce there is a part where the SQL scripts are executed on the database and the schema is created. Well in my case the SQL scripts do not completely run for some reason, it creates some tables but not all. Because of this, after the web install says that the installation is complete I click the link to go to my site and i get a php error saying that a table has not been found. Well that's fine I go through the backend and manually copy everything in the SQL script and run in on the database and it works, it creates all the tables without a problem. I've gone through this 5 times to make sure that it wasnt me doing something wrong and the same thing happened.

 

Anyhow the test site is now installed but when i try and click any link on the home page of the default installation i get a "The Page cannot be displayed" error. This happens if i click any link. and then if i try and hit the back button to go back to the main page then that doesnt work either. I have to close the browser window and open it up again. Do you think that maybe just like the SQL script that wasnt completely running that something else didnt get copied or created properly during the install? Like i said i have tried this several times and the result is always the same. Or is it prhaps a setting that i need to have on in my php.ini for this work properly?

The only links that I found that did not work are on the top links "Store" This is not an original oscommerce template so doubt you will get any help in the oscommerce forum. You will need to get your help from V3 your template maker. :blush:
