Shop Prices depending on a changeable variable ?

Ahoi Guys,

 

we sell copper and want to do the following:

 

every morning (sometimes several times a day :'( ) i must update the prices of the shop articels (not many, but..) depending on the daily price for copper. But if the shop prices are based on a simply textfile with only i.e. 19,40 in it on the webserver i have to update only this file and the prices in the shop are always actual.

 

Is this possible, maybe additional for some shop categories i can specify ? :-"
