Guest
Doing a music download store. As I run tests, all the individual mp3 downloads work perfectly. But for customers wanting to purchase an entire album as opposed to individual mp3 tracks, I've created zip files containing all the mp3s of that particular album. When I test the functionality of the zip download upon purchase, what gets downloaded is an empty zip file (with the correct name of the zip file). Is a zip file not the solution to downloading an entire album's worth of tracks? Or am I possibly doing something else wrong? Best, George
Jack_mcs
That is the correct procedure. Have you tried downloading the zip file, using ftp, to your computer to see if it will unzip? The file might be getting corrupted when you upload it. But when downloaded in test purchases... the zip is a 4kb decoy. Bogus in the extreme...

I use that on my site so that I don't have to be bothered with creating seperate album files. Guest
Thanks for the reply. Unclear on how Master Products works, though. I added the extra script included in the download, but got an error. Any more "fleshed-out" instructions on how it works? You should try using Master Products... I use that on my site so that I don't have to be bothered with creating seperate album files. Iggy
Thanks for the reply. Unclear on how Master Products works, though. I added the extra script included in the download, but got an error. Any more "fleshed-out" instructions on how it works? I just got through fixing this for a customer of mine. For their case here's the setup that worked. In Admin > Configuration > Downloads set Download By Redirect to true If you're lucky large downloads will work fine now. If not and you get a permission denied error add Options +FollowSymLinks to your .htaccess file If THAT doesn't work you're probably not on a unix machine and about the only thing I can think is to suggest finding a host that is. Hope that's helpful, Iggy Everything's funny but nothing's a joke...
