Upgrade Process Questions

Hi,

 

We are currently using version 1.34 of OS Commerce and have decided to move web host. The new host is on IIS and we have sucessfully copied over the Database and the Store.

 

We encountered problems with "Register_Globals" as the host has recently only allowed "Register_Globals=Off". We have applied Richard Bentleys solution (From this forum) and the catalog works fine, however the Administration is still broken. Possibly because Richards soloution is based on the latest version and not 1.34.

 

What is the easiset way to upgrade to 2.2 without loosing any data or look and feel? Also will this version fix the problem that "Register_Globals" is causing in the community?
