yosc Posted August 22, 2006 Share Posted August 22, 2006 Pardon if I'm asking the obvious - just wanted to be a little extra cautios here: to do a full osc site backup from which I can do a complete restore on a new install from scratch (in case I screw up my site beyond repair or if it's just completely gone from the server, or to move to a different host, etc.), all I need to do is run the backup command from the admin tool and then download the whole /catalog folder? also, are there any ways to automate the database backup, and download only those files that have been changed? (I presume that until I make any configuration / layout changes, the only thing that will change in the store is the database itself, and that would be the only file I'll need to backup on a regular basis?) and the file generated by that backup button, would be a complete database backup as if I did it directly on the database?
