Speed up Checkout

I'm looking for various modules/addons which would allow me to speed up the checkout procedure. I've found 1, http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,355 allowing the buyer to by pass creating an account. How well does this work? Are there any other good checkout contributions that would speed up the checkout process?

 

I looked over the directions for the above contribution and, I'm not really sure how to install it. This is my first time adding a contribution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe install something like EasyPHP on your desktop and install osC there. That way if you make a mistake you can just copy over a backup directory and start over. It makes the learning curve easier.

 

Checkout routines are personal so you will have to go through them all to figure out which one or which parts work for you.
