UPS XML Parse Error

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I just installed the UPS XML Module. I am having this problem:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING, expecting ')' in /home/finis/public_html/admin/modules.php(216) : eval()'d code on line 1

Does anybody know how to fix it?

I assume you haven't done step 5 in the readme.txt that came with the contribution? That looks like the typical error you get in that case and which is mentioned there by the way:
If you haven't done any of the above mentioned two things while installing, you will get an error message in the admin section:

"Parse error: parse error, unexpected ';' in ....../admin/modules.php(235): eval()'d code on line 1"

To rectify that, do any of the two options above, go to the admin section, shipping and "remove" upsxml, then "install" upsxml (again).

It will not render the module unusable if you don't fix it, you will just not be able to disable shipping options.

omg! it refuse to install after following the instruction to remove and install again. wat am i going to do now?
Very peculiar. At least make sure that everything from UPSXML is deleted before you try to install. In phpMyAdmin:

delete from table `configuration` where configuration_key in ('MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_RATES_STATUS', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_RATES_ACCESS_KEY', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_RATES_USERNAME', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_RATES_PASSWORD', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_RATES_PICKUP_METHOD', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_RATES_PACKAGE_TYPE', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_RATES_CUSTOMER_CLASSIFICATION_CODE', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_RATES_ORIGIN', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_RATES_CITY', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_RATES_STATEPROV', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_RATES_COUNTRY', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_RATES_POSTALCODE', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_RATES_MODE', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_RATES_UNIT_WEIGHT', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_RATES_UNIT_LENGTH', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_DIMENSIONS_SUPPORT', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_RATES_QUOTE_TYPE', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_HANDLING_TYPE', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_RATES_HANDLING', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_INSURE', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_CURRENCY_CODE', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_RATES_TAX_CLASS', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_RATES_ZONE', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_RATES_SORT_ORDER', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_TYPES', 'SHIPPING_DAYS_DELAY', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_EMAIL_ERRORS', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_UPSXML_RATES_TIME_IN_TRANSIT_VIEW');

Then check in the table configuration the key MODULE_SHIPPING_INSTALLED (explanation: List of shipping module filenames separated by a semi-colon. This is automatically updated. No need to edit. (Example: ups.php;flat.php;item.php) and make sure upsxml.php is not in that list. Remove any trailing ;

I have performed both steps mentioned in step 5 of the read me. I've changed my database type to text and also removed 4 of the ups shipping options in my upsxml.php file. Here is my error;

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING, expecting ')' in d:\home\hnt27a040\catalog\admin\modules.php(212) : eval()'d code on line 1

It looks similar except for the "(212)"

Any thoughts on how I can fix this?!?!
