After installation I backed up the catalog, by copying everything in Windows (ftp.shopname.com in Explorer and then simply copying the directory). After a crash I restored the catalog structure. I'm able to enter the shop, but not the administration part. After the password the Explorer window is completely empty. I've tried to copy the .htaccess and .htpasswd files individually using the ftp command and ASCII mode in case this was critical, but the screen is still blank. Has anybody experienced something similar? Are there better ways to backup the system? (I would prefer tar and ssh, but the they are not available) I believe it has something with permission settings to do or that some bits are not copied correctly in Windows. driftwood Posted August 19, 2006 Share Posted August 19, 2006 Where is the site you are talking about, on a server or your local PC ? If you get a blank page that often a php problem and could mean the a file is currupt in the admin section.
