squigglybee
I just installed HTML WYSIWYG Editor for Product Desc, MS1 2.2 from http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...ns,1279/page,27 After following the directions STEP BY STEP... I went to my admin panel, and everything is gone from that page except the configuration box. The links in that box (my store, min. values, etc.) are useless. I click them and it goes nowhere. What do I do to get everything back??? Help!!! I saved a copy of my original files. I tried reuploading those and it didn't work. Does it have something to do with the mySQL file I had to run?? Help please!!!

PD_Steve
Can you link or post a screenshot of what your admin looks like now. I cannot work it out from your description. squigglybee
If you need to see any of my code from any files I can post that too.
PD_Steve
Can you link the code from your admin/includes/column_left.php and admin/configuration.php It looks like the configuration.php file is not loading in correctly as your only getting a very small section of this file appearing (i.e. just the column_left.php is appearing and only barely). column_left.php (admin version) should have more than just the config menu. PD_Steve
I just noticed from the screenshot that the last item appearing in your column_left.php (admin) is the WYSYWIG Editor. Looks very likely that this part of the code is what is killing your admin area. Do you have the original of this file still. I would take a copy of your new version and then upload the old admin/includes/column_left.php and see if your administration area kicks back into life. squigglybee
well, what i just did was uploaded a backup i had of my entire admin folder. it doesn't include some of the contribs i installed earlier, but i got everything back that was missing. *sigh of relief* everything is in that left column that should be there (plus that silly HTML WYSIWYG Editor i just installed :P ) thank you so much for trying to work through this with me. i so appreciate people like you who spend your time helping poor clueless people like me!

PD_Steve
I had a strange problem yesterday with the SPAW editor. I simply could not get that one to work properly because it was using document_root calls which my site simply did not want to comply with. Finally, after battling with it for a few hours, decided to give up and install FCKEditor which worked like a dream. Old motto comes to mind "If at first you do not succeed, hide the evidence that you tried"... hehe My Toolbox: Crimson Editor, Adobe Photoshop CS2.0, Expression Web, Macromedia Suite 8.0, Cinema 4D, Nvu.
