cpt.kirky Posted August 18, 2006 Share Posted August 18, 2006 Hi all, I am a complete newbie and feel a little embarassed to ask but heyho, I am stuck on the second window of the installation (New Installation Import Catalog Database: Automatic Configuration: ) When I click continue it just repeats this window over and over. (i.e. I don't get to the New Installation Database Import Please enter the database server information) I am following the Building online stores with osCommerce: Professional Edition book by David Mercer and I am stuck at this stage(Page 42). MySQL, PHP and Apache went on like a dream and test okay. Any ideas? Please excuse my ignorance if this is obvious (it isn't to me). ♥Vger Posted August 19, 2006 Share Posted August 19, 2006 The most common cause for installation getting stuck in step 2 is that most recent PHP installations have register_long_arrays = OFF This needs to be turned to ON in the php.ini file (you will need to stop and restart your server to get this change to take effect.)
