Fyre2012
Hi folks I've got an interesting need, and I'm wondering how I might acomplish this little bit that I need... I'm building a b2b style site, and the client has products that depend on OEM products. For example, one product line would be cell phone accessories... They don't sell the phones themselves, just the compatible accessories. I need to have a way where a user (shopper) can click a dropdown of the particular model of phone, and listed would be every product which works with that phone. I'd also need to build it into the Admin area so the managers can easily add new products, and be able to quickly select which OEM products this is compatible with. I don't think it's possible with OSC as is, but i'm wondering the best route to take to solve this problem. (or if it's already been solved elsewhere) Any ideas and suggestions are much appreciated! Thanks alot =)

Fyre2012
you can do called "Products Attributes" they can do "size, color, price set, etc." Product Attributes is great for having sub-products (like a case, and sub prod's being: leather, plastic, small, etc) However i'm not sure it's the solution to this issue... We're talking over 2500 products that need to match up to something like 10,000 different phones. Many of the products are somewhat universal, meaning they work for several products of a given type (i.e. motorolla power adapters work for almost all motorolla phones) We're not selling the phones themselves, just the accessories. The accessories need to be somehow indexed by the supported phone. This is the crux of the issue. (e.g. list all te products that work with the motorolla V551 phone) I appreciate the input, mtechama, but product attributes, IMHO, doesn't solve the issue. (unless someome can explain how prod attributes DOES solve my issue, i don't assume to be right about anything, just taking a guess from what i know about it)
