How to Add new Payment Module?

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

Can someone give me advise on how to add a simple payment method like Cash on Delivery.

I would like to have a "BANK TRANSFER" option for my customers to select.

Any help is much appreachiated.

Regards, Thomas

Is a bank transfer treated differently that checks or cod? If not, edit that module to display Bank Transfer instead of COD or Check/Money Order. You also need to change any other text it displays. Technically, you should rename the module but it isn't required.

Or, install one of the Bank Transfer contributions. There are several of them.

A COD would be something being delivered to a destination and the person paying the delivery in cash/check (i.e. UPS, Postal Service) and they then send you the money.

Bank transfer is an electronic transfer of funds from one bank to the other. (ETF) It could be an electronic check... people enter their bank routing number, name and account number and give an authorization for funds to be withdrawn. Is there a payment module for that?
