No categories

I only have a handful of products, and they fall under one category. So I have no need for categories

In the Admin section, under Categories / Products I have items listed in "Top", with no categories entered. Where does this throw everything? Nothing appears on the site.

Thanks!

Pete

You need to create a BLANK NAMED category this is the only way you will get the products to show

Many Thanks

Yes, but only because you replied so fast. :)

(It's a work in progress)

Pete, great (WIP) site. I was wondering how you got rid of the folders under Categories and made the direct link to Products. I don't have that many products on my e-store either and don't need all of the folders, etc. I tried the Blank Name but that didn't work and I just try to add a product outside of any folder (under Admin) and it doesn't show up on my site.

thanks in advance~

Thanks for the WIP props, Eddie.

I'm sorry to say the products listed on the main catalog page is simple HTML work. Something tells me that this work around is going to create problems with session ID's, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

I'm a little surprised with this tread. I thought I asked a fairly logical question reqarding no categories, and what does "Top" mean. I'm sure there's an answer out there somewhere, and a much better solution than what I ended up doing.

The other solution I came up with is to use the Featured Products contribution, and just make everything a Featured Product. That should drop everything on the main page.
