IP tracing - how to figure out who is who

Hi there,

 

I have several sites bookmarked where you can enter the IP address and it'll tell you who it is for the most part, enough to figure out it's MSN, Google, a person, etc.

 

However, there are times when the results is just the IP address again - another words, no info could be found.

 

I've had one IP in my "who's online" showing up everyday for the last week or so, but none of the free IP tracing sites can resolve the IP address - thus I have no clue who it is, what bot it is, etc.

 

Is there another free resource that maybe able to help out?

 

I hate not knowing who is on my site.
