Charlemagne Posted August 17, 2006 Share Posted August 17, 2006 Hello everyone, First of all I would like to thank those of you here that offer advice and those of you who have helped to make such a great product! My question is, that I am just about done finishing my store using dreamweaver 8, I am almost ready to "go live" and send what I have on my computer to the hosting company, what I really want to know is do I FTP my site up first then install, or do I install everything here on my home computer then upload the whole enchilada at once?? I am sorry for the newbie question but web design is something new that I am just learning, I enjoy challenges and this has definately been one (trust me, its not about saving money, its about actually being proud of my own work). Also, if any of you are in the South Florida area of the USA, I am a pro photographer in the area and would be happy to trade family portraits, etc. for some tutoring!! Guest Posted August 17, 2006 Share Posted August 17, 2006 What you will need to do, is upload your catalog folder via ftp to your site. You will then need to go into your hosts control panel (cpanel) and create a mysql database for the oscommerce cart to use. Hope this makes sense.
