Guest
my site processes orders, passes the customer to paypal, they make the payment, which goes through. the trouble is that the site doesn't actually place the order !!! so people are paying me without recieving any goods, and am worried i may end up with a reputation as a scammer. i posted about this before and was told of a contribution to help (paym, ent screen update iirc) but it's still doing it. any ideas - i really need help on this one. madcrazygirl
This is well documented problem with paypal module. Solution is to install the Paypal IPN contribution but you could also install the Master Password contribution so that when you get a payment you can then log in as the customer and checkout their basket which will still be intact. best wishes :)
Guest
or install one of the pre-logging order contributions which works for every gateway.

Guest
ok, i have now installed the master passwords contib - just a quick question. does this use the password you use to login to your sql admin, or do you have to specify a password specifically for this in the database ???? Guest
ok, the master passwords thing works a treat apart from one small detail. i have one order thats been placed today, and it doesn't look like the customer has registered with my site with the same e-mail address they have used for paypal (i think it must be a relatives paypal account used, as it doesn't match with any of the registered accounts on my site as i discovered after a long grueling search thru them all) so ideally i really need the whole thing to just work. anybody know a way ?
