paradoxbox
My company's website sells print media. We sell rolls of this stuff, and the measurements are defined in inches and feet. In the catalog the measurements display fine, i.e. 30" x 75', however, when the customer gets their confirmation email, it looks like this: 30" x 75' How can I make it so the " symbol comes through properly in the confirmation email? This is an important point because customers will be calling like crazy if they think they're being sent the wrong size media, which is what we're trying to avoid completely. A quick response would be really helpful as the rest of the store and site are basically ready to go online right away, we just need to get this final thing fixed. PD_Steve
Two thoughts. 1. Does ASCII work? I have not experimented too much with the emails so I am not sure. I don't know which ASCII code is used for " either, but there are many ASCII code tables on the net. 2. If the ' works, can you not just use that two times to represent inches rather than using the problematic ". I know this is kinda cheating, but how different does this look " to this '' Just a few quick ideas. ♥Vger
Emails are sent out in plain text so they won't be able to render ASCII/ANSI characters. Vger
paradoxbox
Thanks for that suggestion steve, I never even thought to do that.. sometimes the simplest solutions are the best. I'm glad I'm using easy populate to populate the database.. ctrl + h and a few seconds of editing and the problem will be solved :D
