igougoha Posted August 15, 2006 Share Posted August 15, 2006 I am quite new to OS Commerce. I had the template installed on my server. Everything looks good out on the web. However, I am eager to start making changes to reflect what we will be selling on our site. I went into the index.php page and the content that is showed out on the web is not on the index.php page. Where do i go to find the files within OS commerce that populate the index.php page and the other pages within my site. I even looked in the CSS file and it wasn't there. Is it in the shop section I keep reading about????? One more thing, do most people do these changes via FTP or log into their hosting company directly? Does it matter? Andrew Yuen Posted August 23, 2006 Share Posted August 23, 2006 Have you checked catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php to edit what text appears on the main page? To answer your second question I use ftp and would think that would be the best way to edit the files.
