New User Registration problem

hi all

After a successful installation of oscommerece everthing seems fine but for one thing.

When i create a new user i get the errors below

Warning: mail(): SMTP server response: 501 5.5.4 Invalid Address in E:\hshome\placenam\placenames.ie\test\catalog\includes\classes\email.php on line 522

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at E:\hshome\placenam\placenames.ie\test\catalog\includes\classes\email.php:522) in E:\hshome\placenam\placenames.ie\test\catalog\includes\functions\general.php on line 33

Now the user is still created in the databsae and I can still log in as that user and do all the other fancy stuff.

Just wondereing what the above means as i dont want my customers to be thinking that their registration wasnt successfull

Any ideas I saw something about header in the installation documentation.

Is the email address you are using as your osCommerce admin panel address one which is based on your domain? e.g. [email protected] Or is it one which is not based on your domain? e.g. [email protected]

It should be based on your domain.

Vger

Yea I just changed that now to something on my domain. Still the same problem. Does the email address I put into it has to be real? As im putting in fake one at the moment to test it.

How did you resolve this problem? I too am having the 501 5.5.4 error and can't for the life of me figure out what is going on!

Thanks
