Stock management

Using osc 2.2 MS2

OK... just installed osc and a couple of modules... succesfully, so that's not the prob.

Haven't even read the API yet (read the TOC and parts,though)..., but have been modding for a couple of days now for testing purposes without any trouble.

The prolem I have is with Product Attributes:

Suppose i have a product sold with just one attribute... Say the sizes S,M,L,XL,XXL,XXXXXX... ;)

As i understand, the main item stock is subtracted, but does NOT take into account the attributes. What if i want to handle my stock for all attribute types?

In this case, I would have a stock item "t-shirt Otello" in the sizes S,M....XXL with stock count 25.

What is WISH to see was the stock PER attribute. This however, can now only be achieved through individual setting of the lot, i.e. have the products "t-shirt Otello S", "t-shirt Otello M", etc etc...

As i read in various posts, there is almost no decent way to deal with this.

Also, more and more attributes on a product is not managable in a normal decent way.

I love OSC and think OS development is a great thing, but, having read a previous post, I must aghree with the fact that the admin side of OSC could (and hopefully will) have a few improvements.

Now, having said this... IS there any decent, well-developed, complete and tested mod out there to have some way of handling Stock Count through Product Attributes???

It would be great even to have a mod that Manages Stock through the product attribs. I guess however that this would mean a complete review of the database... that nobody's up for/willing to yet.... :(

Really, additions to his section wouyld be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanx,
